Empowerment Tools
We started this week with Empowerment Tools and Empowerment Pledge. The Pledge is a commitment that YOU are making to yourself. YOU were asked to make a commitment to do the things necessary to achieve your goals, the things that will allow YOU to work on and Change YOU!
- Establish a goal
- Be sure that YOU really want to work on YOU
- Be sure that YOU really want to Change
- Make a Committment to achieving your goal
- Put forth Effort daily and review your Personal Development goals daily
- Establish a quiet space or quiet period and surround yourself with positive people
- Utilize the Empowerment Pledge
- Utilize the Tools of Empowerment (Gratitude, Humility, Forgiveness, Balance Focus and Faith)
- Love YOU more....
Gratitude - Thankfulness, gratefulness, or appreciation is a feeling, emotion or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that YOU have received or will receive.
Humility - Person or individual knowing self as YOU truly are.
Forgiveness - The action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.
Balance - An even distribution of (energy, thought, focus and faith) enabling YOU to remain upright and steady.
Focus - The central point of your attention or the center of your interest or activity.
Faith - Complete trust or confidence in YOU and in your own ability.
YOU - The nature, character or unseen identity of the person or individual within.
YOU were introduced to I AM Statments. YOU were asked to create a list of your own to review and make a part of your daily life. Relaxation and quiet periods were added for YOU to create time in your day to reflect and feel positive thought energy.
YOU were asked to feel good about yourself and to make a list of the things that were good about YOU.Lastly, YOU were asked to practice on working on yourself, each day, everyday, one day at a time.

What are somethings that are good about YOU?
What is important about quiet reflection?
Why is the PEACE Pledge important?
List as many reasons as YOU can why YOU cannot work on yourself each day.
After finishing your list, give yourself a reason why YOU can. Turn it around and give yourself a positive reason why your can.
Day 8: Beginning Your Day
Gratitude: Begin each day with thoughts of gratitude. It it is very important to start each day with the feeling of gratitude and appreciation.
Quiet Reflection: Sit quietly for a few moments and feel the feelings of gratitude and thankfulness. Express gratitude for the things that YOU do have, your life, your sight, your hearing, your heart, your lungs and for waking with a sound mind.(Feel free to create your own list of things that YOU are grateful for). Allow this feeling to move throughout your body. While YOU are thinking these positive thoughts and feelings, breathe, long, slow breaths. Begin to practice quiet reflection for a few moments today and each day. Remember, your thoughts create your reality.
Personal Development: Review the Empowerment Pledge

I will work on my issues, concerns hurts and pains.
I will, with support and assistance,
strive to develop the tools necessary for me to become a better person.
I will welcome growth within myself,
by acknowledging that I am becoming better,
everyday, one day at a time.
Make a commitment to reviewing the pledge daily or create your own personal pledge. Reviewing the pledge daily will help YOU to consistently focus on working on YOU and your Personal Development goals and dreams.
Personal Development Goal: Today, I will work on myself. I will put forth the effort to work on and develop myself. Continue to keep this thought in your mind as YOU go through your day today.
Today, review your list of I AM Statements, directing your focus and intent on the thing(s) that YOU are or would like to become.

Review: Review your list for a few moments today. Continue to monitor your thoughts and feelings, moods and emotions during the day today. Think and feel as if YOU have already accomplished your goal. Carry this positive thought/feeling with YOU throughout your day today. Focus your attention on the good, unique and special things about YOU. Make at least one of your I AM Statements, your dominant thought/feeling today. If your statement is "I AM Loving", remind yourself to think and feel loving all day today.
The Way YOU Feel: Today, feel great! Direct your thoughts toward making the way YOU feel the most important thing in your life today. Practice feeling good today, as much as YOU can and for as long as YOU can.
Today's Activity: Complete the week in review activity. Review your I AM Statements and choose a statement from your list that will be your dominant thought/feeling statement for today.
Quiet Time: In your quiet time take a few minutes to relax, review goals and list of I AM Statements. Remember to feel gratitude for your life and your health.
Focus: Today, focus on your I AM Statments, love YOU more, show gratitude for the things that YOU do have and feel good about YOU.... Do these things today, each day, everyday, one day at at time.
